Welcome to the UW Cardiology Fellowship Program!
We have 25 general cardiology fellows plus sub-speciality fellows in Interventional, Structural, Complex Coronary, Advanced Imaging, Electrophysiology, Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant, and Adult Congenital Heart Disease.
Through this training program, you will get excellent exposure to cardiology in a variety of environments, including:
University of Washington Medical Center
VA Puget Sound
Harborview Medical Center (county hospital), and
Northwest Hospital (a community but academically affiliated hospital).
We have excellent procedural volume in the Cath Lab with all general fellows becoming proficient in diagnostic coronary angiograms, right heart catheterizations, and temporary pacer wires, in addition to performing and interpreting TTE, TEE, and stress tests. Most of our General Fellows get boarded in Echo II and Nuclear during general fellowship. There is also the opportunity to focus on boarding in Echo III, CT (external course), and research through the T32 program the during the third year.
