Journal Clubs

Occur monthly to every other month; fellows presenting assigned by chiefs

Typically hosted at a faculty’s home or local restaurant

Try to select a paper/trial that is within the realm of our faculty discussant

Remember, this is meant to be informal and fun!

Please read your assigned article in depth and prepare the following:

• Explain study question and rational for the study

• Describe basic study design (type of study, population studied including the relevant inclusion/exclusion criteria, intervention, primary/secondary outcomes)

• Walk through major tables/figures

• Highlight major findings

• Offer your major take aways on the paper, including the impact, critiques/limitations, and if it will change your practice
